“Fun World” Scarf
This scarf is a top contender for most bootleg souvenir in the collection. The artist clearly had a vague assignment of items to portray that had some relationship to Washington State. The only one specific to Expo ‘74 is the Skyway Safari (borrowed from the Caplan art, of course), while the others are more generic. The map in the center is particularly strange, featuring scenic “Dellingham” and a Grand Coulee Dam that has drifted significantly northeast of its traditional location. However, the most telling detail is probably that they forgot to write “Expo” on it. It just says “Spokane ‘74.”
